1. Service
Ouderliefde.app offers a digital memory box for parents. You can store photos, milestones, audio recordings and notes about your children. The service is offered through a free basic plan and paid subscriptions (Plus and Premium).
2. Account
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for all activities that take place via your account. Use a strong password and do not share your login details. We may suspend or delete accounts in the event of misuse.
3. Subscriptions and payment
- Payments are made via Stripe and are charged automatically each month or each year, depending on the subscription you choose.
- You can cancel your subscription at any time via Settings → Manage subscription. After cancellation you remain a subscriber until the end of the paid period.
- The prices shown are total prices: what you see is what you pay.
- We reserve the right to change prices after giving 30 days' prior notice.
4. Photo books and the yearbook subscription
- A photo book is a one-off purchase that is separate from your subscription. The price depends on the number of pages and is shown before checkout, including shipping costs.
- We print the book exactly as you see it in the preview. Check it carefully: a photo book is made on the basis of your own photos and choices and is therefore a custom-made product. For that reason there is no right of withdrawal — so once you have checked out, you can no longer cancel or return the order.
- If your book arrives damaged or differs from what you ordered, email hallo@ouderliefde.app with a photo within 14 days of receipt. We will then reprint it free of charge.
- With the yearbook subscription we automatically make and send a book every year covering the preceding twelve months. You can cancel at any time; the cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period. If there are too few memories in that period for a full book, we print nothing and you receive a credit for one photo book instead.
- Delivery is available in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
5. Gift codes
- A gift code gives the recipient a prepaid period of Plus or Premium, and possibly a credit for one photo book.
- The code can be redeemed up to one year after purchase, can be used once and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- If the recipient is already a subscriber, the gift period is added to the existing subscription.
- The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies to the purchase of a gift code, as long as the code has not yet been redeemed.
6. Use of the service
You may not use the service for:
- Uploading illegal material or material that infringes copyright
- Uploading, storing or distributing sexual imagery of minors (CSAM) or other images prohibited by law. Such material is removed immediately and reported to the competent authorities (including Meldpunt Kinderporno/NCMEC).
- Sharing content that is harmful, intimidating or unlawful in any other way
- Attempts to circumvent the security of the service
- Automated downloading of content via scripts or bots
If you link a WhatsApp number, only link numbers that you are permitted to link. If you invite someone else — for example grandma or grandpa — ask that person for permission beforehand, because their phone number and profile name will then be processed. See our privacy policy.
7. Your content
You retain all ownership rights to photos, texts and other content that you upload. By uploading, you grant Ouderliefde.app a limited licence to store the content and show it to you. We process your content solely to provide the service.
8. Availability
We aim for an availability of 99.5%. Maintenance is scheduled outside office hours as far as possible. We are not liable for damage resulting from temporary unavailability.
9. Liability
Ouderliefde.app is not liable for loss of data resulting from circumstances beyond our control (force majeure). We make regular backups, but we also advise you to keep copies of valuable memories yourself. In any event, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the past 3 months.
10. Termination
You can have your account deleted at any time — you can read how that works on Delete your data. We may terminate your account in the event of a serious breach of these terms, after a warning. On termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our privacy policy. A photo book that has already been paid for but not yet printed will then still be delivered or refunded.
11. Applicable law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent court in the Netherlands.
