How do I export a WhatsApp chat?
Open the chat or group in WhatsApp, tap the name at the top and choose 'Export chat' → 'Include media'. WhatsApp then creates a zip file with all the photos and the conversation. Drag that file onto the page above.
Are my photos sent anywhere?
No. This page works entirely in your browser: the zip file is read on your own device and nothing is uploaded. Only if you then choose to create an account do you decide what to keep.
Why would I want to save the photos from WhatsApp?
WhatsApp shrinks photos, and chats get lost when you get a new phone or your storage fills up. Years of your child's moments then depend on a single group chat.
